"Anyone looking for peace and quiet in beautiful, clean, top quality lodges then look no further than Great Wood, York. My husband and I have enjoyed a wonderful weekend in one of the four lodges available, all of which surround a beautiful lake offering a wonderful spectacle of both flora and fauna. The attention to detail is what makes these lodges so special along with the warm welcome from Don & Helen. Ideally placed for a walk into Strensall to pick up provisions or a trip to the local in Flaxton which provided good food at reasonable prices. If you want to get away from it all this adults only retreat is just the place to do it. There is no doubt we will be returning again soon."
