The local area around Pant Glas Farm Lodges & Shropshire
Shropshire is one of England's most unspoilt counties, as you'll discover during a break in Shropshire. Take a walk on the Long Mynd a dramatic ridge which stands high over the landscape, then pop in to the small village of Church Stretton which nestles in the valley below for a hearty tea.The county town of Shrewsbury sits on a hill almost completely surrounded by a loop in the river Severn. Here you'll find Elizabethan timber-framed buildings and handsome Georgian terraces. Shropshire even has its own centre of gastronomy in the charming town of Ludlow, which boasts a number of Michelin starred restaurants as well as a profusion of specialist food shops. The splendid Norman castle at Ludlow is also well worth a visit, as is nearby Stokesay Castle, both within a short drive.
